The S1waterbike has been designed specially to meet the needs of the solo fly-fisherman but it is great for all kinds of fresh water fishing. It allows you to move easily and manoeuvre with precision, while keeping both hands on the rod and giving all your attention to your sport.

 

 

 

The lightweight one-person boat is is powered by pedals and steered by the seat, which connects to a front propeller drive and rudder. It is made of aluminimum and glass fibre, weighing just 25kg, and is easy to transport and assemble

The S1 waterbike is a patented hand-made product which can be used in fresh and salt water.

Characteristics:

Hands-free steering. The rotating chair gives you full control of your waterbike while fishing, leaving your hands completely free for the rod, reels, and flyline.

Excellent manoeuvrability. The pedal power system requires little effort and allows you to move swiftly, turn on the spot easily and position yourself precisely.

Good casting position. The chair 25 cm above the water gives you the perfect platform for fishing.

Stability in waves and winds. The floats and pedal unit give you full control even in strong winds.

Silent motion. The hydrodynamic design gives top performance, allowing the waterbike to move cleanly through the water and minimising waves. (Check this is accurate.)

Easy to transport. The four compact folding units have been designed to fit easily into a car boot while the floats attach to a roof rack.

Simple to assemble. One person can put together the waterbike in three to five minutes without tools.

The S1waterbike offers accurate hands-free steering and allows you to give all your attention to casting and drill.

The waterbike is steered by swiveling the chair left and right, giving you full control while fishing and leaving your hands completely free for the rod, reels and flyline. (quietness covered on page 11 and not relevant to handsfree steering)

A five degree move to either side turns the rudder and propeller 90 degrees.

- excellent manoeuvrability

The S1waterbike can be manoeuvered easily and accurately and can move in any direction or turn on the spot.

The pedals drive a propeller and rudder, which turn through 180 degrees. This, combined with the ability to pedal forwards and backwards, gives full 360 degree movement control.

The drive unit is mounted at the front of the waterbike to give it sharp manoeuverability in all weather conditions.

The S1waterbike allows you to get the best out of your fly-fishing in comfort, giving you a stable platform and good casting position from your chair 25cm above the water.

The floats are 3/4 submerged, giving the waterbike good stability in waves and strong winds and ensuring it is not blown about.

The propeller, rudder and floats, have been hydrodynamically designed for top performance, allowing it to move cleanly through the water and minimise waves. (check this is correct) Say something about speed?

- easy to transport

The S1waterbike is made up of lightweight units which are easy to transport by car.

Four compact folding units, the body structure, protective net, chair and pedal power system, have been designed to fit easily into a car boot.

The two floats can be fixed to a roof rack with the special float support supplied. One car can carry two sets of floats. (We recommend Thule roof racks.)

- simple to assemble

The S1waterbike is simple to assemble and can be put together by one person in three to five minutes. No special tools are needed.

The four units and two floats weigh a total 25kg and have been specially designed to be carried over rough ground and assembled on river banks and the shores of mountain lakes.

The waterbike can be launched in shallow water and the drive system can be used at depths of as little as 70cm. The propeller and rudder can be raised to avoid damage in shallow water.

Future development:

In future models of the waterbike we aim to improve the hydrodynamic properties still further and to develop a large range of accessories to enhance your comfort and enjoyment of fly-fishing.

The water bike will be available with floats of two sizes for two weight ranges: 50-100 kg; 100-150 kg.

We are also working on inflatable floats with similar properties.
