The Classic Pheasant Tail Nymph is considered even today a “must” fly for every fisherman. It is a good searching pattern even was made good years ago. Frank Sawyers mention it in 1950! It imitates mayflies in all sizes and colors, maybe because it is a generic nymph is so good and effective.
