I have been asked how thin the Diamond thread is and how small the flies you make can be. In the previous article I forgot to specify this.
So here are some details:
- 160DEN – that means aprox 6/0
- metallic yarn reinforced with ultra thin GSP thread
- 30m of material/spool
The Diamond Body Thread is versatile, it can be used for bodies of nymphs, thoraxes, wet bodies, etc.
A multitude of models can be made in all sizes. For example here is a small perdigon tied on size #22 hook.
