Green Slim Catgut Pupae is a super simple and fun to tie fly. I consider that noting is beating the natural material and here you can see that the body is really nice and juicy.
Materials:
- Hook: Demmon G602 #14
- Thread: Veevus GSP
- Body thread : yellow Veevus stomach small
- Body: Catgut caddis green – S size
- Under body: tinsel green on the back just for an extra sparkle
- Thorax: Troutline Pure Squirrel Plus
- Bead: Tungsten copper 2.8mm
The dry version looks more insipid and it doesn’t inspire among my friends who checks my fly boxes ( which is not bad because sometimes this model is my secret weapon )
