Killer Bug -my version

For those who don’t know The Killer Bug is a famous fly pattern created by Frank Sawyer, a well-known fly fisherman and fly tier. Made with Chadwick’s 477 yarn, this nymph became so effective that it sparked a “gold rush” for the material. Several brands tried to replicate Chadwick’s 477 with varying degrees of success. Today, I’ve attempted to recreate it using Mojo Nymph Yarn in the A23 color. The result looks promising, and I’m excited to see how these flies perform when I fish with them. I don’t know if the Mojo A23 matches the original’s effectiveness remains to be seen, but it’s certainly an interesting experiment in fly tying.

A pleasure to see a new creation of yours Lucian, I really appreciate the new material you have recently hyper-sponsored with which you have assembled in your own way even the very famous Killer Bug by the great Frank Sawyer and it is right that you do so as an entrepreneur that you are, but I believe in my opinion (and I don’t know how many have the courage to tell the truth) that in this case it is like enjoying a glass of Bordeaux – Pauillac and then drinking a common red country wine. Don’t take it personally Lucian, after all you are asking for answers and I add that……never say never again!!!!
    Best regards.
    Emanuele.
