Fly Tying

Here is a small, olive nymph tied with Mojo Yarn – simple, easy, and highly effective. The mottled olive color covers the entire spectrum, and that makes the fly visible to trout in all water conditions. Tied on size 16 hooks it can be fished as single fly or in team using the modern nymphing style or peche a vue ( the French style )

It is not a complicated fly at all. It’s perfect for beginners because it helps them get familiar with proportions and learn to respect them.

Additionally, being a generic pattern, it is effective almost everywhere. Of course, it can be made more complicated if is needed by adding other elements, such as a hot spot, a synthetic thorax, or even a thorax cover made from mylar or UV resin.
