I think I have an interesting tying riddle here: Guess the body material used for this fly below.
This fly is tied based on old model received long time ago. My dear wife asked me to take care of my old things and clean my “non useful stuff. So I found an old metal box where some old flies was laying there covered by dust and other things.
I took one fly in hand to check it closely. Unfortunately the material felt apart right away so I was not able to make a photo of it. When I came back in shop I tied my version using the same materials but with on modern barbels hook with modern thread.
I added in thorax a little bit of dubbing, that was my “improvement”. The rest respect the old recipe.
So who wants to try to guess the material? 🙂
Cheers and stay safe!
