Are you struggling to keep track of your fly in low-light conditions or under intense sunlight? You’re not alone! In this post, I’ll share my way to creating a highly visible emerger pattern that works in all lighting situations. Whether you’re fishing on overcast days or under bright, glaring sunlight, this fly will make sure you never lose track.
The trick? A smart combination of two CDC colors in the wing—yellow and gray. This blend creates incredible contrast, ensuring your fly stands out against any backdrop.
For the body, I used Mojo yarn, but you can experiment with dubbing, thread, or any material you prefer. It’s all about customizing the fly to your style while maintaining its visibility and effectiveness.
Materials Used:
- CDC feathers (yellow and gray)
- Mojo yarn (or your choice of dubbing/thread)
- Hook and thread of your preference
Give this pattern a try and have fun tying! Your fishing game is about to level up
