Hi guys, here is a fly for my friends who are pheasant tail nymphs fanatics 🙂 .This type of PT nymph tied with hot spot is absolutely deadly for trout and grayling fishing. The fly is intentional tied without tail because spooky fish always “taste” the flies. The rigidness of the tail will make the fish to spit it out super fast.
I discovered this fly many years ago when I was fishing in Slovakia with Peter Durisik. The model was tied on a classic hook and I was intrigued by the lack of a tail. But I discovered that there was no problem, so I started using it more and more often.
